Are You Waiting For a Sign—Maybe This Is It…

There’s a moment I’ll never forget.

It was late at night, and I was sitting with my legs crossed at the top of Machu Picchu, listening to a Shaman’s voice guiding us through a meditation.

I was on a 14-day spiritual retreat, traveling through sacred spaces and working with Peruvian Shamans.

And yet… I had never felt more lost.

I had just lost my job.
The house I was renting was being sold, so I had nowhere to live.
My 10-year marriage had ended.
And I had just come out.

Everything I thought I knew about my life had crumbled. I felt like I was free-falling.

I was so desperate, trying to meditate and not think about everything I would face going home the next day. And I was contemplating about not being here in this physical world any longer.

As the tears were rolling down my face, I heard my grandmother’s voice. (She left this planet when I was only 18. And I would have dreams about her calling me. I had felt so guilty when she died. I was supposed to be at her house for dinner but went out with my friends instead. And she died in her sleep that same night.)

She whispered, “It’s not your time, Shannon. You have so much to give to teach and guide others. That’s why you’re on this journey.”

At that moment, something opened up within me.

Tears were streaming down my face. Not just because of what she said—it was because, deep down, I believed her.

That message became a turning point for me.
It gave me a thread to hold onto. A sense that maybe—just maybe—there was still something here for me.

I’m sharing this with you because I know how loud fear can be… It tries to tell you to be small, stay quiet, and wait.

It convinces you you’re not ready… or not enough… or too far gone.

And while you wait, fear costs you.

It chips away at your confidence, health, energy, momentum, joy, and your dreams.

So I want to ask you—with no pressure, just honesty:
What are you putting off because of fear?

And what’s it costing you—not just financially, but emotionally, physically, and even spiritually?

Maybe it’s:

  • Launching something that matters to you.
  • Raising your prices.
  • Getting visible, being honest, or finally letting something go.

I want to share with you that you don’t need a mountaintop moment to find clarity.

Sometimes, it simply starts with a single question—and the courage to answer it honestly.

If you’re standing at your own edge right now… I see you.

And maybe this is your message:

It’s not your time to give up. It’s your time to begin.

You don’t have to do everything today.
Though maybe it is doing just one brave thing.

One step toward what you really want.
To trust yourself again.

You just need one moment of courage to interrupt the pattern.

When you’re ready, I’m right here with you, hands always at your back.

Paragraph I’m Pondering

“If you knew you could handle anything that came your way, what would you possibly have to fear? The answer is nothing! I know you probably are not jumping up and down for joy just yet, but believe me when I tell you I have just given you a great piece of news. What I have just told you means you can handle all your fears without having to control anything in the outside world. This should be a tremendous relief. You no longer have to control what your mate does, what your friends do, what your children do, or what your boss does. You don’t have to control what happens at an interview, what happens at your job, what happens in your new career, what happens to your money, or what happens in the stock market. All you have to do to diminish your fear is to develop more trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way!” ~ Susan Jeffers, Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway.

Powerful Affirmations to Inspire

  • “I am confident, capable, and unstoppable in the pursuit of my dreams.
  • “I attract clients, opportunities, and resources that support my highest business goals.”
  • “I am worthy of a wealthy life, and I embrace the financial freedom that is mine.”
