Does this ever happen to you?

Sometimes I sit at my desk, staring at my three computer monitors, wondering if everyone who has a business online struggles with the same issues…

Like today, I’m trying to stay on top of my “subscriber” email box, so it doesn’t get to 12k emails ever again. Thank goodness for my new assistant, who’s been helping me keep it around 300 or so unopened…

Before you jump ahead in thinking that my “Subscriber” inbox is out of control and how do I answer emails, etc.… You need to know that this email box is for all the products, services, newsletters, and lists I buy or subscribe to. So when I’m writing a campaign for a supplement company, I use that email address to get on a bunch of lists and start checking out their copy. I have a private email address for clients and contractors.

Until today, I had subscribed to a lot of Facebook notifications that came in my email, and well, that was CRAZY. I finally stopped ALL of those email notifications. I was getting about 100 a day or so – ummmm, not really productive. Who has time to look through all of those?! Easier to go to Facebook and look at my notifications there.

Then while I was in that email box “cleaning” it up for today, I noticed three emails from three different companies that I had no idea what they were.

Before I deleted them, I clicked on their links, and lo and behold. I had signed up for free accounts for each of these services. And I had no clue what they were from the email until I went to their sites and logged in. Does this ever happen to you? Or am I just “special,” I wonder to myself. 🙂

I go to these sites initially because I’m always trying to stay up-to-date on the latest apps, software, and services to help grow my and my client’s businesses.

One of my clients recently said she appreciated my extensive knowledge and resourcefulness. So there’s that.

This leads me to those three services that I registered for free. I thought I’d share them with you because they could seriously help your business. And I don’t think I’ve talked about them before…

  1. Audience Research on Steroids – Sparktoro –– This service is pretty amazing. Especially all the things you can do for free! It’s audience research on steroids. It finds the websites your customers visit, social accounts they follow, hashtags they use, and more. It could totally help your business. And they give away a lot for free too.
  2. Bots Write & Check Your Copy – Anyword Need some help writing copy for social media, blog posts, landing pages, and more? They have a free version. It’s kind of cool.
  3. Chatbots & Calendar Combined – OnceHub If you have a website collecting leads and want to add a chatbot or a calendar, this tool works, and there’s a free version to test it out. It’s built for businesses who want to follow up with folks interested in their services easily.

I hope I’m not alone in my constant quest to clean out my inbox and learn about new technology that could help me and my business!

At least today, I made my quest a bit more fruitful and found some interesting tools that might help you in your business.
