    Successful Keys to Productivity

How can you be more productive? There are so many ways to increase your productivity. Which one to choose? Hmmm… What’s interesting to me, is my first job out of college was working in sales, out of my house. And I ended up doing that for about 10 years before I even entered an office building. I discovered some interesting things about myself and how I work. One thing: I really like my freedom of time and doing what I need to do on my own terms. And two: I’m much more productive and creative late at night. Now, these two things make it quite interesting and creative when working…

Nothing happens in marketing until something moves…

It’s the beginning of 2009, and all best laid plans are being drawn out now for a fantastic 2009.  For some people they’re fearful, worrisome and pessimistic.  For others, they’re enthusiastic, energized and know as long as they’ve mapped out their plan,  and stick to it, they will achieve all their goals for the year.  Which camp are you in? Back at home now, I’m writing from my second floor office where the view out of my window is a bit dreary- the rain is back. Yet, as I sit and reflect about my trip to Martha’s Vineyard, it was far from dreary. In fact, I discovered 4 really cool secrets that I wanted to share with you. Before departing on our trip there’s the usual freneticness that goes along with any kind of travel these days requiring leaving your house for more than a few days. Since the summer is upon us, I know I’m not alone in my quest for sanity amidst the travel. Key for me was…

Don’t be afraid of your “super powers…”

I’m dumbfounded by the number of people I meet and work with who take so much of their talent for granted. They take their own knowledge for granted and assume everyone else has the same knowledge that they have. Time and time again, I run across this, and I’m not excluded from this category either. I think I’ve gotten much better over the years in really recognizing my knowledge (or as my Executive Coach calls “my super powers.”) in certain areas, how it’s useful, how I can help others, and even how I can package and sell some of it. We did a great exercise at our Mastermind meeting, where…
