If you ever procrastinate – this will help! Open up :-)

I had an interesting procrastination discovery moment this week that I wanted to share with you. Let me give you a little background first for context—I’m working on another big launch. This one is an affiliate launch. We have over 50 affiliates that will be promoting our launch to their email lists. When you do this type of launch, you need to give your affiliates all the promotional materials they will need to create a successful launch for everyone. This includes creating social media graphics, email copy, and more. One of the free lead generators for the launch is a trailer video that’s about 5 minutes long. (The other three…

Inspiration to Create Your Own Manifesto

Let’s talk about manifestos and how they could be a perfect way to inspire you, your staff, or your team to make a huge difference in the last quarter of this year. You might be thinking that manifestos are just reserved for people who are trying to create a political revolution to overthrow governments. How is that even relevant to my business? Well, I will get to that in a minute. First, I thought it might be interesting to give you the top 5 manifestos that you may have heard of or maybe not thought of as a manifesto: Here’s the definition of Manifesto from Meriam Webster: “A manifesto is a public…

Discover the hidden secret(s) in your business…

I know, I know, you might be thinking, “Geez Shannon, what’s with this gimmicky email header about hidden secrets that sounds more like clickbait?” Yeah, I get it and to be totally honest, I did want you to open my email :-). Yet, it was more about me thinking…. That in my 17 years of running my business with hundreds of clients, almost all of them always had some fascinating piece of content that they had forgotten about, or worse, didn’t think it had any value. Heavy sigh. So I thought it was high time that I addressed this big elephant that’s hidden away in either a drawer, file cabinet (yes, I still…

Are You waiting for the perfect moment?

Have you ever been in a group of entrepreneurs where you meet regularly to connect about your business and also get the opportunity to do a hot seat about it? I’ve been in several over the years, and the insights and ideas are pretty mind-blowing. My most recent group is one I look forward to participating in each month. One of the many reasons is that there’s no ego in the room. We all just show up, support each other, and give honest feedback that helps create some pretty amazing insights. After being in the group for over 2 years now, there’s a theme that seems to always come up at…

What separates highly successful people from anyone else….

I just came across another terrific article from Inc.com. They always have good combos of business, marketing, and uplifting short reads that are clickbait worthy. They often talk about Warren Buffett (who just turned 92) and what separates highly successful people from everyone else. It’s something that you probably already know. And it’s definitely something that’s at the core of Soulful Marketing — His classic quote says it all: “In the world of business, the people who are most successful are those who are doing what they love.” ~Warren Buffett The big question for you is — “Are you doing what you LOVE for Income?” And if you’re not doing what you love,…

How picking the best strawberries could boost your business :-)

Have you ever been shopping for fresh berries at the grocery store? The other day, while picking out some strawberries in the huge fruit section at Costco, I noticed the fascinating decision-making process of fellow berry enthusiasts. As I stood there, engrossed in the fruity frenzy, I couldn’t help but notice the thoughtful deliberation each person displayed. No one simply grabbed the first container they saw. It was like witnessing a secret ritual of strawberry selection. My Curiosity was piqued, and I began to think, “What criteria do these people use to determine which container is the perfect one that will go home with them?” After all, there’s more to it than just…

A unique perspective on growing your business from an AI

If you’ve been on my email list for a while, you know how much I’m addicted to learning. It just fuels me. And one of my favorite things to do is share some of the stuff I’m learning with you. I’m sure you’ve seen and maybe even read the big hubbub around AI. It’s just exploding. People are comparing it to the launching of the internet or the creation of the automobile. Hmmmm. I mean, it is kind of groundbreaking, yet it’s still very much in its infancy. So why care about AI? And what could it mean for your business?

Not one of my usual posts – this is a little different…

Do you ever feel like your messaging in your business is falling on deaf ears?  Or maybe you feel like the market you’re in is just way too crowded, and you’re frustrated because your messaging just isn’t getting through because of all the competition? I know how it can be really frustrating to market yourself in a very crowded online world. That’s why today, as promised from last week – I want to share how The Ad Girls (Jennifer Spivak and Courtney Tarrant) created a million-dollar funnel with this incredibly simple Facebook ad sequence. The information in this email was a presentation that Jennifer did at the Traffic and Conversion…

    Confessions, Word Choices, & Websites

This is a little out there and something I noticed this morning when I was doing my morning reading. (I read at least 30 minutes every morning to stimulate my brain. Remember, I’m a learnaholic, so this fuels me and my day. 🙂 When I was reading, I noticed how this writer used the word “but” a lot. I mean, “but” is an ok word yet in my somewhat limited grammar experience, (Grammarly.com is my friend.) ”but” is a conjunction (i.e., a linking word) that’s used to introduce a contrast. So it always negates what comes before it. (Yeah, I did have to look that up to get the right…

    Go Big or Go Home

Finally, I was able to get out of town. (I just got back last night!) Sheesh, with all the flaring up of the pandemic again, I was second-guessing my trip. Yet, I honestly just wanted to get out of town. I had registered for the Traffic & Conversion (T&C) Summit, which I used to go to every year. I slacked off in 2019, and of course, they didn’t have it in 2020. In 2019, I attended at least six different events. So I knew that this was the only event I would attend this year with what was happening with the pandemic. That’s when I made the all-important decision that…

The Productivity Secret That Will Change Your Life

One of the things I’m constantly struggling with: my plate is incredibly full. I just have way TOO many things on that proverbial plate and it’s constantly weighing me down. I’m a Strategic Marketer & Product Launch Manager, I help people get things done, and here I am, revealing to you my own challenges with getting things done.  Well, I’ve actually invested good money with experts to help me “organize” my office, my computer, and my life, as well as I got a new desk, bookshelves, and on an on. The interesting thing is after that expert gave me this “system” it wasn’t mine. So I had great difficulty in…

5 Goals to Achieve This Year

If you’re up for it — I am going to push the envelope a little today and actually give you five goals to try to achieve by the end of the year. Remember you are never going to know if you are capable of something if you don’t take that first step. 1. Go small This may be a big one to start with but here goes-Downsize.  Look at all aspects of your business whether that includes employees, vendors or service providers.  If you find that there is a way for ONE provider to handle multiple jobs than cut back.  This may sound strange but sometimes less is more when…

How to Take Bigger Risks This Year

Something fascinating happened to me a few years ago that was worth repeating. I had this experience that totally changed my perspective on how I would think and do things in my business and my personal life. Here’s what happened— I had decided to go to the DMV, yes everyone’s favorite place to make jokes about.  I had been putting it off for almost a year and I had to finally deal with getting a new title. I actually wanted to cross if off my to-do list!  (I had paid off my car loan—yeah, and needed to get the lien holder name off my car title.) I had a phone…

Never Ever Cold Call Again to Get New Clients!

Something I learned over 6 years ago from “the Millionaire Maker” Dan Kennedy is that in order for you not to do cold calls, and to not be stressing out where your money will come from each month— you need to create a “lead generation funnel.” I not only learned it from him, but I also shared the stage with him where he asked me to share the strategies I used to help grow my business here are a few of them below. What you need to pay real attention to is that After I did that, created and implemented those strategies… I never had to worry about getting any…
